The 'Black cobra' gang! The aftermath of the release of the movie 'Josh'

Wikipedia defines Josh as -"Josh (Devanagari: जोश, Nastaliq: جوش, translation: "Frenzy") is a 2000 Bollywood Action movie based on West Side Story and directed by Mansoor Khan. The film stars Shahrukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles. Chandrachur Singh, Sharad Kapoor, Priya Gill and Vivek Vaswani appear in supporting roles. The film became the fourth highest-grossing film in india in 2000".

While I define it as a phenomenon that caught the whole small town boy population by storm. I being the most 'movie influenced' or in other terms 'filmy' kid started my own "GANG" on the terms of the movie. We christened our gang as "The Black cobra gang" .So there we were ,some 10-12 kids of the neighborhood riding on on our bikes wearing black t-shirts acting all cool and manly. We got into duels with the other GANGS of our locality (Gangs here being the other such movie fanatic kids of our locality,Their gang being designated as the 'Godzilla gang'. So on certain days,when there was no elder around in the local park, all the kids from both the parties got into brawls that lasted for hours.
The headquarters of our gang was stationed at the room on the terrace of my house(On the door of which were engraved the words "enter at your own risk" ). We planned our 'strategies' for the 'battles' that were to be fought , all in a very sophisticated and well planned manner.(Imagine some twelve 8 to 10 year old kids in a small room,sitting on a mattress with lays chips and cola being served by my mum). 
And mind you, our strategies actually worked, we WON almost all the time. I guess it was the fat/rugged kid on our side who did the trick, I'm not sure. But one thing I'm sure of,I'm sure as hell, I had a lot of fun those days.
Now whenever I see the movie on the t.v , I get all nostalgic and reminiscent of those sunny days in the good ol' times. 
The kids of today don't know what they've missed. haha.

Undeterred by the monotony of the dull days. I hang on to the last straw. Forsaken by those whose company, I treasured most. Nonchalantly I keep living for tomorrow. Content with living in ignominy, I've found bliss. Self assuredly I walk along, Away from all the sorrow.
